Every course of the MBA Programme has been designed in a structured manner which indicates credits, number of hours to teach, practical components, CIE (Continuous Improvement Examination) and SEE (Semester End Examinations) etc. Various activities are designed in line with the curriculum of the MBA Programme: -
Students are exposed to courses which covers Basic Principles of management in order to be more confident in the concepts and fundamental knowledge required in all the areas of specialization. The semester seeks to enhance students' professional communication skills through training programs. Students need to study 7 courses during the semester.
Students need to study 7 courses. The course will give an overview and understanding of the current and emerging issues in the field of management. These courses will expose students to basic concepts in the broader areas of management and shall lay strong foundation for all the functional areas of management.
Students in their III Semester need to opt their specialisation based on their ability and interest. The department offers various combinations of specialization that are relevant and applicable. The courses are framed in each specialization area focusing on the global environment such as Global Financial Management, International Marketing Management, International HRM etc., Along with three specialization courses the students have to study one core course and one open elective. The total courses are six including the ‘Internship’ for 4 weeks.
Students in their IV semester need to study one core course irrespective of their specialization and three specialisation courses. In addition, students need to undergo a dissertation work in their specialization area to understand ‘How to solve business problems’. This helps students to become an expert in their chosen area of specialization.
Students are motivated to discover their potential, develop an integrated personality, practise healthy lifestyles and be aware of family and social realities, which will help them become catalysts of change in their families and in the neighbourhood. This course earns them one credit per year in their academic curriculum.

NPTEL is a joint initiative from IITs and IISc to offer online courses and certification in Humanities, Basic Sciences, Computer Science and Management. It enables the students to directly engage and learn from the best faculty in the country which strengthens their subject knowledge and also provide them an opportunity to explore new areas of interest. Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) of RNS First Grade College has been established to encourage the culture of Innovation among the students across various disciplines of the Institution. The Ministry of Education, Govt. of India has established an Innovation Cell in all Higher Education Institutions. The focus of IIC is to encourage, inspire and nurture young students by supporting them to work with new ideas and transform them into prototypes. IIC is established to promote innovation in the Institution through multitudinous modes leading to an innovation promotion eco-system in the campus.
Extension activities are community outreach-oriented activities. Most of the extension activities will be outside the campus in keeping with the norms laid down by the Institute and the University. Registration for the EA clubs will be online. As some clubs have restraints in the number of student intake, the registrations are based on early bird entry.

National Service Scheme has three units that is comprised of volunteers from the Day college. The unit self-funded by RNSFGC. The Programme officer help organize various projects and events for the NSS volunteers. They encourage the students to participate in one or more of the projects offered. NSS – RNSFGC has for its motto, NOT ME BUT YOU, and it encourages its volunteers to extend help to society, the nation and mankind.
Faculty proctors are assigned to groups of students to counsel them on curricular, co-curricular and personal matters.
